Gratitude and Gardening…

I am grateful and blessed.

Whether that be life, love or the combination of both.

Music, food, experiences, it’s all there.

We are our own worst enemies only as long as we allow it.

The reaction we use is our success or downfall.

I have set my mind to making better reactions and interactions.

One doesn’t have to fully care about a person to react with kindness.

This is even more emphasized when it’s oneself.

I’ve learned to be selfish, selfless, but have lacked at treating myself with kindness.

Forgiveness is a wonderful trait but means nothing if you cannot forgive yourself.

It’s more than cleaning up a mess from a mistake.

It’s the ability to laugh or shrug it off in the end and fully move on.

Learning from the past or mistakes is vital to human survival in any age.

Living in the past or defining oneself from prior mistakes is not proper growth though.

Growth will still happen, yet more along the lines of weed overgrowth in a garden.

Weeds are pulled and removed to keep a garden’s beauty in tact for all that has been purposely planted there.

Stray weeds are always normal for any garden and can be completely harmless.

But the garden that is full of too many requires plenty of work and possible damage to what’s trying to be grown.

I have been weeding my garden for many years unsure what to plant next.

Some might say that’s an empty flower bed.

I will say that’s a fresh flower bed ready to grow anything I want.

I saved some of my favorite seeds knowing how to tend to them properly.

Those have already begun to grow.

Now that I have an idea for how much room I have to plant I can choose what to plant next.

The soil is perfect, all weeds uprooted, some of my favorite flowers are beginning to bloom.

What to plant next in my garden of life?

Whatever it is know it will be bright, big, and beautiful.

Yes it will draw in the attention of others, that was the whole point of removing weeds.

It will be impressive, that’s for myself though.

Others will get to bask in the beauty and ask how do I grow that seed as well as you have?

To which I will advise and give pointers that will be used as future reference when tending to those specific seeds in other people’s personal garden’s of life.

If you’ve read this far thank you. It shows you care enough to hear me through. Even if we aren’t great friends, that’s a great quality and one of the kindest things a person can do. Even if I never know you read this far, you will know you have. That means something to me. You’ve blessed me with the presence of your mind and time. Two things that are priceless. That’s more than most will do these days. You are an awesome person because of this. Don’t forget that!
